Dissertation (30 ECTS)
An independent research project demonstrating critical analysis, technical insight, and innovation in blockchain or cryptocurrency applications.
Examines the theory and practice of cryptographic security measures used in modern cryptocurrencies, focusing on network-level and cryptographic primitives to counteract cyber-attacks. The module addresses the threats to security and privacy in high-risk payment systems and defences against them.
To complete your MSc degree in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, you must submit the dissertation module as a research and strategic analysis report.
The dissertation enables you to produce original research on a clearly defined topic whilst developing advanced knowledge, understanding, capabilities, and professional competencies relevant to your programme of study.

- Bachelor’s degree (Level 6) in Finance, IT, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years of relevant work experience; or
- Level 5 Diploma / Higher Diploma with a minimum of 5 years’ managerial or supervisory experience.
- Preference is given to applicants with experience in financial management, banking, or fintech operations.
- English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0 (overall) or equivalent qualification.
- Equivalent of a Level 6 Bachelor’s degree.
- English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience preferred in finance, IT, or blockchain sectors.
Graduates can progress to:
